Two of the most iconic on a list of dead rappers, Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G, were both assassinated in the late 1990’s; both rappers were gunned down during the peak of their careers. Tupac Shakur has sold over 75 millions records worldwide, and The Notorious B.I.G., while not having as much commercial success as Tupac at 17 millions records sold, is still recognized as one of the most influential hip hop artists of all time. Tupac is known for being more of a poet, with elaborate rap songs referencing issues of social justice; The Notorious B.I.G., or Biggie, is known for his complex wordplay and rhyme schemes. Both of these artists were killed far too early in their careers, and the whereabouts of their murders is still widely unknown.
